OUR SUBSIDIARIES

Oil & Gas UK has three not-for-profit subsidiary companies, two of which (CDA and Step Change for Safety) have their own membership.

Common Data Access Limited (CDA) Oil & Gas UK membership will give you the opportunity to become members of CDA. CDA was established in 1995 to provide shared data storage and access services for UKCS well and seismic data. Digital information for more than 10,500 UKCS wellbores and 1,100 seismic surveys is managed by CDA, which also operates the DEAL website, a unique source of UKCS subsurface data, infrastructure and other reference information. Industry collaboration, through CDA membership, brings significant efficiencies, economies of scale as well as significant added value to participants. CDA engages closely and frequently with members to improve and develop services for licensees and the supply chain alike. More at www.cdal.com and www.ukdeal.co.uk Leading Oil & Gas Competitiveness (LOGIC) LOGIC is a not-for-profit wholly owned subsidiary of Oil & Gas UK that operates as the custodian for a number of cross-industry projects that aim to increase the efficiency, and decrease the cost, of working practice in the United Kingdom Continental Shelf. Its remit ranges from tracking offshore personnel movement to facilitating offshore asset transfers to proving industry standard contractual terms for a range of offshore contracts More at www.logic-oil.com Step Change in Safety Limited (Step Change) Step Change in Safety is the UK oil and gas industry’s flagship safety initiative with the vision of making the UK the safest place to work in the worldwide oil and gas industry. In addition to operator and contractor members it also includes representatives from the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE), trade unions and key trade associations. Its core work is broken down into three strategic areas: ‘recognising hazards and reducing risk’ ; ‘personal ownership for safety’ and ‘asset integrity’ . Step Change in Safety provides an important vehicle for driving improvements in health and safety performance through industry-wide participation and cooperation, learning from each other and by engaging the workforce at all levels.Membership is open to all companies working in the sector, whether they are members of Oil & Gas UK, or not.
