RAISING PROFILE AND SUPPORTING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

USE OF THE OIL & GAS UK MEMBERSHIP LOGO On joining, members are invited to use the Oil & Gas UK membership logo. The Oil & Gas UK insignia is readily identifiable across the industry. MEMBERS’ DIRECTORY Members of Oil & Gas UK are automatically entered into our members’ directory which is available online. Member companies are also added to our membership map. NETWORKING SESSIONS These sessions were introduced to the Oil & Gas UK events calendar in 2011 and provide a dedicated members only event which aims to bring together our continually expanding membership. The sessions usually take place over two hours, opening with one or two short topical presentations, followed by the opportunity to network with the presenters, Oil & Gas UK staff and industry peers. COMMUNICATION TOOLS Members are kept up to date with Oil & Gas UK’s activities and public announcements in a number of ways: • All member contacts receive a monthly e-newsletter direct to their inbox, informing them of activities undertaken by Oil & Gas UK, important information and forthcoming meetings and events • Member contacts, who elect to, receive a hard copy newsletter know as Wireline by post, four times a year. This provides a round-up of Oil & Gas UK activities, news, interviews and thought-provoking articles on industry-related issues • Council members, CPAF (Communications Policy Advisory Forum) members and members of forums relative to the issue in hand receive press releases as they are circulated to the media as well as parliamentary affairs newsletters at intervals during the year • Member contacts, who elect to, receive issue-based newsletters containing the latest updates on particular areas of activity. An example is the e-newsletter covering the work of Step Change in Safety’s Helicopter Safety Steering Group • The Communications Policy Advisory Forum (CPAF) is a forum for communications professionals working within member companies where industry reputational issues and Oil & Gas UK messaging may be discussed and communications strategies developed INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE FOR MEMBERS
