OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE: WELL LIFE CYCLE PRACTICES FORUM (WLCPF)

Why should you attend? TheWell Life Cycle Practices Forumprovides opportunities for members to help implement the recommendations of the Oil Spill Prevention and Response Advisory Group (OSPRAG) and to be at the forefront of engagements between the industry, the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) on pan-industry well-related issues. The WLCPF forms work groups as required which then report back to the WLCPF at the forum meetings, allowing detailed discussion of current issues. Who can attend? Senior representatives (usually drilling or well managers) from those Oil &Gas UKmember companies responsible for well design, construction, management and intervention operations.

How frequently are meetings held? The WLCPF meets six times per year.

OPERATIONS DIRECTORATE: LEGAL ISSUES FORUM (LIF)

Why should you attend? The Legal Issues Forum provides an active forum for members to be able to come together and raise legal areas that they would either like to know more about or they think could benefit from industry consultation. The Legal Issues Forum recognises its wide ambit and, as such, the majority of its areas will be examined in dedicated work groups of interested parties. Who can attend? Attendance at the forum is open to all Oil & Gas UK members and is usually attended by a member’s in-house lawyer or senior commercial managers. How frequently are meetings held? The forum will be held twice a year; however work groups will be held on a much more frequent basis. Example topics
