HSE DIRECTORATE: MAJOR HAZARDS FORUM

Why should you attend? The Major Hazards Forum provides opportunities for members to discuss issues related to major hazards and provides links to Step Change’s Asset Integrity Steering Group. The forum tackles issues such as: • Delivery of strategies for major hazard management • Influencing HSE research plans through input to HSE research proposals and considering the practical implementation of that research • Remaining aware of hazard management developments in other major hazard industries • Sharing specialist knowledge, opinion and operational experience to deliver guidance on major hazard management issues for ageing installations Who can attend? Membership to theMajor Hazards Forum is open to all Oil & Gas UK members and is usually attended by technical safety specialists working in major hazard management. Work group members may invite external experts to address a particular topic.

How frequently are meetings held? Major Hazards Forum meetings are held quarterly.

HSE DIRECTORATE: AVIATION SAFETY TECHNICAL GROUP (ASTG)

Why should you attend? The Aviation Safety Technical Group provides members with opportunities to engage with stakeholders to ensure risks are identified and measures are in place to maintain the industry’s aviation safety standards at the highest level. The group allows members to work closely with Step Change’s Helicopter Safety Steering Group and be at the forefront of providing and maintaining technical oversight of aviation matters and promoting the industry position on a wide range of related issues. Who can attend? Membership is drawn from the appropriate technical expertise fromOil & Gas UK member companies, helicopter operators, regulators and other industry organisations.

How frequently are meetings held? Aviation Safety Technical Group meetings are held quarterly along with an annual aviation seminar.
