ENVIRONMENT REPORT 2014

6.3.5 New Guidelines on Monitoring Subsea Oil Releases and Dispersant Use As part of the recommendations from OSPRAG, Oil & Gas UK commissioned CEFAS in 2014 to develop new guidelines for monitoring and assessing the impact on the marine environment of a subsea release of oil and use of dispersant. The new guidelines have been agreed with and published through PREMIAM (a consortium of regulators, government agencies and statutory nature conservation bodies who play key roles in monitoring and provision of advice during an incident). The new guidelines can be downloaded for free from the PREMIAM website 30 .
