Just over 660,000 tonnes of substructure are forecast to be decommissioned throughout the North Sea region over the next decade. 15 Again, most of the substructure decommissioning activity (52 per cent) is situated in the UK. The Netherlands has a substantial amount of work planned with 29 per cent of the activity, which, due to the size of its assets relative to UK and Norwegian assets in deeper water, will equate to a large quantity of jacket structures.
