Operators in the Netherlands expect to decommission 457 wells over the next decade. This is a very similar workload to that reported in Norway. The well decommissioning activity in the Netherlands is also a very similar workload than that forecast in the SNS and Irish Sea regions of the UKCS, where 515 wells are expected to be decommissioned. The data show that activity is expected to ramp up over the next few years to 2022, with a relative consistency in workload until 2025 before reducing to an average of around 30 wells per year thereafter. The data is very similar to that presented in last year’s report, albeit offset by one year.
