Offshore Petroleum Regulator for Environment and Decommissioning OSPAR is the mechanism by which 15 Governments & the EU cooperate to protect the marine environment of the North-East Atlantic. Decision by which derogation could be applied if there is robust reasoning behind leaving specific infrastructure wholly or partially in place Over-trawl surveys make sure the seabed is safe for normal fishing activities to resume. Reverse installation whereby the topsides modules are lifted separately onto a transportation barge or the deck of the crane vessel before being taken onshore. The piece-small method involves dismantling the topside and using onshore demolition techniques to produce small, manageable pieces that can be transported onshore.
