Figure 21 shows the forecast substructure weights to be decommissioned in the UKCS. This total excludes concrete gravity-based (CGB) structures. Note that under OSPAR Decision 98/3, the largest and oldest substructures may be decommissioned in situ if derogation is justified and granted. Therefore, the chart does not represent expected removal weights.

Similar to the topsides, the majority of substructure removals activity is forecast to be later in the survey time period, with 82 per cent of the weight scheduled for removal from 2022 onwards
