In slight contrast to the other North Sea regions, the southern North Sea and Irish Sea are set to maintain a high level of well decommissioning activity over the coming decade, with 409 platform wells, 48 subsea wells and 18 E&A wells expected to be decommissioned. In comparison to previous forecasts, a large tranche of work appears to be being brought forward into 2018 and 2019, while the rest of the dataset remains very similar. Due to the proximity of the work scope, the estimates for 2018 and 2019 are expected to be the most accurate.
